Hello? Can someone please tell me how a dump can be closed? Well, first off, we have some things that need to be hauled off to the dump. Rovorkius suggested we CALL the dump before going out there...in case they were closed for the 4th of July weekend. Okay--in MY mind...(no comments here please), I'm thinking, "HOW do you call the dump?" Do you stand outside your door and YELL or something? There's actually a phone at the dump?
Remember...I'm the one that at 20 years old, thought that when they said "Friend's may call" at a funeral home (meaning friends may stop by and pay their respects)--that it actually meant you could pick up your phone and CALL them. Ya--what do you say to a deceased person---"Uh, gosh, sorry that you're dead, Bill." So I'm thinking---okay, CALL the dump to see if they're closed...don't you just drive up and dump off your crap? And when it's closed...doesn't that mean that it's no longer in business?! No, there are actually people who work in a building that's located at the entrance of this landfill and gosh...they need time off too. Really!? Ahhh...all new information to my ever expanding brain! Yeesh!
